Every child’s circumstances and conditions are unique, so each child who is referred for Pediatric Day Health Care services at PediaKare is evaluated for appropriate care and prequalified for services. Children considered for services must be medically stabile and require continual nursing care.
Conditions include but are not limited to:

•Respiratory Disorders (chronic lung disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis, severe asthma
•Renal Disease (nephrotic syndrome)
•Genetic Disorders
•Nervous System Disorder (seizures, para/quadriplegia, shaken baby syndrome, hydrocephalus, spinal cord injury)
•Gastrointestinal Disorders (Short gut Syndrome, gastrostomy)
•Apnea (monitor)
•Oral Feeding Difficulties
•Complications of Prematurity
•Cardiac Defects
•Colostomy Care
•Tracheostomy Care
•Congenital (Biliary Atresia, Cleft Palate)
•Other Conditions Requiring Nursing Care
